In collaboration with several world class orchestra’s, and starring two time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson and Greg Wise, Symphonic Cinema is in production of its fifth film. Based on the masterpiece by Gustav Holst, The Planets is the final part in the trilogy about the circle of life, that started with The Isle of the Dead and The Echo of Being. Coming in 2026.
Composer, pianist, writer, illustrator, animator, and filmmaker Thomas Beijer is now part of Symphonic Cinema’s creative team. The collaboration started with the dance film Motion Games (2005), a piece Thomas composed for piano and violin solo. He later created chamber music versions of our portfolio and is now working in close collaboration with Lucas on The Planets.
For several years Pieter helped Symphonic Cinema to become visible in new venues and connected us to even more great orchestra’s. With his deep understanding of the classical music world and wide network, he continues the collaboration in his new role as Director of Partnerships & Sales.
